Soul Surfer

Are you a big surfing lover or you even do actually surf? Then I assume you know that the 9. April people will be obsessed with a new breathtaking movie called Soul Surfer. The story is based on a real life of a shark attack victim, Bethany Hamilton.

Bethany has become a source of inspiration to millions through her story of faith, determination, and hope.

She was born on February 8, 1990, on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Beth began surfing at a young age and at that time many people saw in her a talent, but when she was attacked by tiger shark, everybody was frightened whether her life is over and whether she will get on the surf again. Surprisingly she did not give up! Because of her hope and faith in God, in 2009, Bethany won a second place in the ASP World Junior Championships.

Since she´s lost her arm, Bethany’s story has been told in hundreds of media outlets and she has been recognized with numerous awards, public appearances, and various speaking engagements. She just launched her own foundation, Friends of Bethany, which supports shark attack survivors, traumatic amputees, and serves to inspire others through her life story.

Bethany sa stala zdrojom inšpirácie miliónov ľudí vďaka jej príbehu o viere, odhodlanosti a nádeji.Narodila sa 8. februára 1990, na ostrove Kauai na Havaji. Beth začala surfovať v mladom veku a v tom čase veľa ľudí začalo vnej vidieť talent, ale keď bola napadnutá tigrím žralokom, všetci spanikárili, či jej život je u konca a či znova nasadne na surf. Anna Wintour, known as that terribly honest, frightening woman with her trademark bob haircut and sunglasses. Her eye for fashion is honored by many fashion designers and she is praised for her support for young teenagers and because of her demanding personality she earned her the nickname "Nuclear Wintour".
She´s now 61 years old and her life is dedicated to her job as an editor-in-chief of American Vogue. Her passion for mode has been since she was a little child from issues of Seventeen. In document the September Issue she said that it was her dad who really decided for her that she should work in fashion. First she became a fashion editor of Harper's Bazaar but eventually she ended up in Vogue.
Now she has two children, gives help to many charities, loves Chanel suits, has to live through rumors and criticism about her and you may also know her from a movie called The Devil Wears Prada in starring of Meryl Streep. This movie is actually a film adaptation of original book written by Anna´s assistant Lauren Weisberger.

Anna Wintour, známa ako tá strašne úprimná, hrôzu naháňajúca žena s jej neprehliadnuteľným imidžom , tzv. bôbovým účesom a okuliarmi a vážnou tvárou. Jej pohľad pre módu je uznávaný mnohými módnymi návrhármi a kvôli jej náročnej osobnosti sa zaslúžila o prezývku "Nuclear Wintour".
Anna má teraz 61 rokov a jej život je založený na jej práci , v ktorej je známa ako šéfredaktorka amerického Vogue. Jej vášeň pre módu začal z magazína Seventeen, už keď bola malé dievčatko. V dokumente the September Issue povedala, že to bol jej otec, ktorý rozhodol za ňu, aby mala fungovať v módnom priemysle. Najprv sa stala módnou šéfredaktorkou časopisu Harper´s Bazaar, ale nakoniec skončila vo Vogue.
Teraz má dve deti, poskytuje pomoc pre mnohé charitatívne organizácie, miluje Chanel kostýmy, musí sa povzniesť ponad klebety a kritike o nej, a možno ste si ju mohli všimnúť z filmu s názvom Diabol nosí Pradu, ale s Meryl Streep v hlavnej úlohe . Tento film je vlastne filmová adaptácia knihy napísanej Anninou asistentkou, Lauren Weisbergerovou.

Beauty of Greece/Krása Grécka

Because I am addicted to Greece, I´ve decided to tell you something more about one of the Greek islands, Mykonos.
Mykonos is like Ibiza, lying in Cyclades. You can not miss the typical Greek little houses with flowers, blue doors and windows, Mykonos windmills and the mascot of Mykynos, Petros the Pelican. It is said that Mykonos is visited by gay men, but it´s not entirely true. Mykonos is also a summer destination for ordinary people and although it is "party-island", it is not such a busy place like Kos, so you can get sleep at night.
The places I recommend you to go and see is for example Little Venice, where buildings have been constructed right on the sea's edge with their balconies overhanging the water. Next stop should definitely be Paraportiani what is one of the most famous architectural structures in Greece. There are also many historical museums like the Archaeological Museum or Aegean Maritime Museum.
So if you are really interested in this island and you can´t stand being at home, just catch a plane and land at Mykonos airport. So what are you waiting for?

Pretože som závislá na Grécku, rozhodla som sa, že vám porozprávam niečo viac o jednom z gréckych ostrovoch, o Mykonose.
Mykonos je niečo ako Ibiza, ležiaca v súostroví Kyklady. Nemôžete si nechať ujsť typické grécke domčeky ozdobené kvetmi, modrými dverami a oknami, vodné mlyny a maskota Mykonosa, Petrosa - pelikána. Hovorí sa, že Mykonos je navštevovaný gaymi, ale nie je to úplná pravda. Mykonos je taktiež letnou destináciou obyčajnými ľuďmi a i keď je to tzv. párty ostrov, nie je tak rušný ako napríklad ostrov Kos, takže si kľudne môžete dopriať spánok.
Miesta, ktoré by som vám odporučila navštíviť sú napríklad Malé Benátky, kde tunajšie domčeky sú postavené priamo na kraji mora. Ďalšou zastávkou by bol mariánsky kostol Paraportianim ktorý je jedným z najznámejších architektonických stavieb v Grécku. Je tu takisto mnoho múzeí ako Archeologické múzeum či Námorné múzeum v Egejskom mori.
Takže ak sa naozaj zaujímate o tento ostrov a nemôžete vystáť to nudné sedenie doma, stačí nasadnúť na lietadlo a pristáť na letisko Mykonosu. Tak načo ešte čakáte?

Let me at first introduce you one big name, which occurs in many stores, magazines and now his profile can be seen on Coke bottles. His name is Karl Lagerfeld. He is german fashion designer, photographer, artist based in Paris. He helms his own label fashion house, as well as the italian house Fendi, Chloe or Chanel. He´s now about 77 years old and he´s made many marks in his life. For example he made some outfits for Madonna or Kylie Minogue, worked with H&M, hovewer, Lagerfeld was the target of a pieing by PETA in 2001 at a fashion premiere at Lincoln Center in New York City. This was in protest of his use of fur and leather within his collections. Overall, his fame and collections are well-known around the world and honoured, and i don´t think that anybody would forget a man with such a big talent and with white hair and dark sunglasses on his eyes.

Je to nemecký módny návrhár, fotograf, umelec so sídlom v Paríži. Pôsobil v módnych domoch s veľmi zvučnými menami ako sú Chloe, Fendi alebo terajší Chanel. Teraz má okolo 77 rokov a stále za sebou zanecháva niekoľko stôp v jeho živote.
